Our Mission

DCF works in communities of Ghana to promote transformative change in both infrastructure and teaching and learning quality in rural schools. DCF has the further mission to offer indices of sustainable livelihood to humanity, contribute to the future of orphans and endangered children through knowledge, policy advice, support services, technical assistance and collaborative action for common good agenda.

Empowering Young Lives on World Menstrual Hygiene Day

Akropong, Eastern Region  I  28th May 2025

As part of our commitment to promoting menstrual hygiene and general well-being annually, we donated menstrual pads to support the girls in managing their cycles with dignity and comfort. To ensure inclusivity, we also provided toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other essential toiletries that would benefit both the boys and girls in the school.

Revisit to Alorkpem

Ada, Greater Accra I 4th April 2025

A year ago, De Colours Foundation renovated a three-unit classroom block, A school at Alorkpem in Ada, Greater Accra Region, a small island community. Yesterday 4th April 2025, our team visited the Alorkpem Basic School to evaluate and see how well the school infrastructure has been maintained. We’re proud to say the building is still as good as it was renovated serving the students and teachers just as we hoped.

Ketu South, Volta Region 2020

Ketu South, a district located in the Volta Region of Ghana, faced the hardships and disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic like countless other regions worldwide. The local population, primarily engaged in farming and small-scale businesses, experienced severe economic setbacks due to lockdowns, movement restrictions, and the general economic downturn. Access to healthcare, food, and basic necessities became increasingly challenging for many families.
