Health & Wellbeing
Good health is the foundation of everything. Without it, children can't learn, adults can't work, and communities can't grow. DCF's health programme addresses the most pressing gaps in Ghana's underserved communities.
Our flagship health initiative is our World Menstrual Hygiene Day programme. In Ghana, girls miss an average of 4 days of school per month due to lack of access to sanitary products. We're changing that.
In May 2025, we reached girls in Akropong, Eastern Region keeping hundreds in school and restoring their dignity.
Girls in Ghana miss up to 20% of school days annually due to menstrual health challenges. DCF's kits keep girls in school consistently.

Alorkpem Island School Renovation
Isolated by water, 300+ families in Alorkpem finally have a school that meets structural standards after DCF renovated the three-unit classroom block in 2023. Read more
